Since the financial crisis engulfed the world a few years ago the amount of people now filing for bankruptcy has grown at an extraordinary rate and it is not usually for most people to now know someone or have a family member that has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. However, what is this kind of bankruptcy and what repercussions does it have?

Essentially bankruptcy means that you do not have the sufficient needs to service and pay off your debts and you have no foreseeable way in which to do this. It is a very sad state of affairs but unfortunately something that many people are now experiencing first hand on a regular basis.
